Free piano sheets for X Japan
X Japan (エックス ジャパン, Ekkusu Japan?) is a Japanese heavy metal band founded in 1982 by Toshimitsu "Toshi" Deyama and Yoshiki Hayashi.[2] Originally named X (エックス), the group achieved their breakthrough success in 1989 with the release of their second album Blue Blood. They started out as a power/speed metal band and later gravitated towards a progressive sound, at all times retaining an emphasis on ballads. Their sound is extremely raw, sometimes countered by the incorporation of classical style piano passages and vocal melodies. They have well-developed percussion parts and often use harmonized guitar riffs and solos.
Besides being one of the first Japanese acts to achieve mainstream success while on an independent label,[3] the group is widely credited as one of the pioneers of the visual kei movement.[1][4] They were known in their early years for their excessively large hairstyles resembling fountains, but toned these down in later years. As of 2010, the band has sold over thirty million records and over two million home videos.[5]
After sixteen years, four albums, and selling out the 50,000 seat Tokyo Dome 18 times, X Japan disbanded in 1997. The band did not perform or record any material for another 10 years. However, in 2007, the band re-united and performed live for the first time since their break-up. After performing concerts through-out Asia in 2007 through 2009, the band performed their first North American tour from September 25 through October 10, 2010. They also plan to release their first studio album in more than 14 years in 2011.
X Japan started in 1978, originally called Dynamite, when its founding members Toshimitsu "Toshi" Deyama and Yoshiki Hayashi were only 13. Dynamite changed its name to Noise in 1980, while they were still in high school. In 1982, they changed their name to X, while they tried to think of another name, but the name stuck. X began to actively perform in the Tokyo area in 1985 with a frequently changing lineup. Their first single, "I'll Kill You" was released on Dada Records in June and the band contribued "Break the Darkness" to the sampler Heavy Metal Force III in November.[11][12]
To ensure a continuous outlet for the band's music, Yoshiki founded the independent label Extasy Records. The following year a second single, "Orgasm", was released on the label.[13] The songs "Stab Me in the Back" and "No Connexion", recorded for the 1987 Victor Records sampler Skull Thrash Zone Volume I,[12] mark the group's first material featuring Tomoaki "Pata" Ishizuka as a support guitar player. He formally joined the group later that year. Likewise, guitarist Hideto "hide" Matsumoto and bassist Taiji Sawada both briefly performed with X on separate occasions before completing the group's first steady lineup.[11]

Free piano sheets for Williw Nelson
Willie Hugh Nelson (born April 30, 1933)[1] is an American country singer-songwriter, author, poet, actor and activist. He reached his greatest fame during the outlaw country movement of the 1970s, and remains iconic, especially in American popular culture.
Now in his seventies, Willie Nelson continues to tour and has performed in concerts and fundraisers with other major musicians, including Bob Dylan, Neil Young, and Dave Matthews. He also continues to record albums prolifically in new genres that embrace reggae, blues, jazz, folk, and popular music.
Nelson was born on April 30, 1933 in Abbott, Texas, to Myrle Marie (née Greenhaw) and Ira Doyle Nelson.[1] His father was a mechanic and pool hall owner.[2][3]
His grandparents, William Alfred Nelson and Nancy Smothers, whom he and his sister Bobbie called "Daddy" and "Mama," gave him mail-order music lessons starting at age six. He wrote his first song when he was seven and was playing in a local band at age nine.[4] Willie played the guitar, while his sister Bobbie played the piano. He met Bud Fletcher, a fiddler, and the two siblings joined his band, Bohemian Fiddlers, while Nelson was in high school. There, he took part in the FFA chapter.
Beginning in high school Nelson worked as a disc jockey (DJ) for local radio stations. He had short DJ stints with KHBR in Hillsboro, Texas, and later with KBOP in Pleasanton, Texas, while singing locally in honky tonk bars.[5]
Nelson graduated from Abbott High School in 1951. He joined the Air Force the same year but was discharged after nine months due to back problems.[6] He then studied agriculture at Baylor University for one year in 1954. He joined the Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity while at Baylor.
In 1956, Nelson moved to Vancouver, Washington, to begin a musical career, recording "Lumberjack," which was written by Leon Payne. The single sold fairly well, but did not establish a career. Nelson continued to work as a radio announcer in Vancouver and to sing in clubs. He sold a song called "Family Bible" for $50; the song was a hit for Claude Gray in 1960.

Her uncle, Larry Carlton, is a jazz guitarist. Her ancestry is half Scandinavian and half Russian. Her interest in music began at an early age; after returning from Disneyland at the age of two, she played "It's a Small World" on the piano. Her mother then began to tutor her on the piano.[1][2]

In November 2008, Swift released her second album, Fearless, and the recording earned Swift four Grammy Awards, including the Album of the Year, at the 52nd Grammy Awards. Fearless and Taylor Swift finished 2008 at number-three and number-six respectively, with sales of 2.1 and 1.5 million.[5] Fearless topped the Billboard 200 for 11 non-consecutive weeks;[6] no album has spent more time at No. 1 since 2000. Swift was named Artist of the Year by Billboard Magazine in 2009.[7] Swift released her third album Speak Now on October 25, 2010 which sold 1,047,000 copies in its first week.
In 2008, her albums sold a combined four million copies, making her the best-selling musician of the year in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Forbes ranked Swift 2009's 69th-most powerful celebrity with earnings of $18 million[8] and 2010's 12th-most powerful celebrity with earnings of $45 million.[9] Swift was ranked the 38th Best Artist of the 2000–10 decade by Billboard.[10] In January 2010 Nielsen SoundScan listed Swift as the most commercially successful country (or country/pop crossover) artist in music history with over 28 million digital tracks sold.[11] As of December 2010[update], she has sold over 16 million albums worldwide.[12][13]
Swift was born on December 13, 1989, the only daughter of Andrea Gardner (née Finlay), a homemaker, and Scott Kingsley Swift, a stockbroker. She was born and raised in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania. Her maternal grandmother, Majorie Finlay, was an opera singer.[14][15] Swift has a younger brother, Austin.[16]
When she was in fourth grade, she won a national poetry contest with a three-page poem entitled "Monster In My Closet".[15][17] When Swift was 10, a computer repairman showed her how to play three chords on a guitar, sparking her interest in learning the instrument. Afterwards, she wrote her first song, "Lucky You".[18] She began writing songs regularly and used it as an outlet to help her with her pain from not fitting in at school. She was a victim of bullying, and often wrote songs to express her emotions.[19] Swift also started performing at karaoke contests, festivals, and fairs around her hometown. When she was 12, she devoted an entire summer to writing a 350-page novel, which remains unpublished.[20] Her first major show was a well-received performance at the Bloomsburg Fair.[21] Swift attended Hendersonville High School but was subsequently homeschooled for her junior and senior years. In 2008, she earned her high-school diploma.[22]
Swift's greatest musical influence is Shania Twain.[23] Her other influences include LeAnn Rimes, Tina Turner, Dolly Parton, and her grandmother. Although her grandmother was a professional opera singer,[24] Swift's tastes always leaned more toward country music. In her younger years, she developed a love for Patsy Cline and Dolly Parton.[25] She also credits the Dixie Chicks for demonstrating the impact you can make by "stretching boundaries".[26]

Free piano sheets for Regina Spektor
Regina Ilyinichna Spektor (Russian: Реги́нa Ильи́нична Спе́ктор, IPA: [rʲɪˈɡʲinə ˈspʲɛktər], English: /rɨˈdʒiːnə ˈspɛktər/; born February 18, 1980) is a Russian-born American singer-songwriter and pianist. Her music is associated with the anti-folk scene centered in New York City's East Village.
Spektor was born in Moscow, USSR in 1980 to a musical Russian Jewish family. Her father, Ilya Spektor, is a photographer and amateur violinist. Her mother, Bella Spektor, was a music professor in a Russian college of music and now teaches at a public elementary school in Mount Vernon, New York.[1] She has a brother Barry (who was referred to as Bear), who was featured in track 7, "* * *", or "Whisper", of her 2004 album, Soviet Kitsch.
She learned how to play piano by practicing on a Petrof upright that was given to her mother by her grandfather.[2] She was also exposed to the music of rock and roll bands such as The Beatles, Queen, and The Moody Blues by her father, who obtained such recordings in Eastern Europe and traded cassettes with friends in the Soviet Union.[1] The family left the Soviet Union in 1989, when Regina was nine and a half, during the period of Perestroika, when Soviet citizens were permitted to emigrate. Regina had to leave her piano behind.[3] The seriousness of her piano studies led her parents to consider not leaving the USSR, but they finally decided to emigrate, due to the ethnic and political discrimination which Jews faced.[4] Spektor is completely fluent in Russian and reads Hebrew, and has since paid tribute to her Russian heritage, quoting the poem February by the famous Russian poet Boris Pasternak in her song Après Moi, and stating “I’m very connected to the language and the culture.”[5]
Traveling first to Austria and then Italy, the family was admitted to the United States as refugees with the assistance of HIAS (the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society) and settled in The Bronx, where Spektor graduated from the SAR Academy, a Jewish day middle school in the Riverdale section of the Bronx. She then attended high school for two years at the Frisch School, a yeshiva in Paramus, New Jersey, but transferred to a public school, Fair Lawn High School, in Fair Lawn, New Jersey, where she finished the last two years of her high school education.[6]

Free piano sheets for Muse
Muse are an English rock band from Teignmouth, Devon, formed in 1994. The band consists of Matthew Bellamy (lead vocals, guitars, piano, keyboards, keytar), Christopher Wolstenholme (bass, backing vocals, keyboards, guitars, harmonica) and Dominic Howard (drums, percussion, synthesisers, backing vocals, sampling). After the release of their 2006 album Black Holes and Revelations, keyboardist and percussionist Morgan Nicholls has performed live with the band. Muse are known for their energetic and extravagant live performances,[1][2][3] and their fusion of many music genres, including progressive rock, alternative rock, space rock, pop music, heavy metal, and electronica, with recurring themes of revolution.[4]
Muse have released five studio albums: Showbiz (1999), Origin of Symmetry (2001), Absolution (2003), Black Holes and Revelations (2006), and The Resistance (2009). The band have also issued three live albums, Hullabaloo Soundtrack (2002), which is also a compilation of B-sides, Absolution Tour (2005), and HAARP (2008).
Black Holes and Revelations earned the band a Mercury Prize nomination and a third place finish in the NME Albums of the Year list for 2006.[5] Muse have also won numerous other music awards throughout their history, including five MTV Europe Music Awards, five Q Awards, eight NME Awards, two BRIT awards, an MTV Video Music Award, four Kerrang! Awards and an American Music Award. They are also currently nominated for three Grammy Awards.[6] As of November 2010, Muse has sold over ten million albums worldwide.[7]
Muse's primary genres are progressive rock,[4] space rock, and alternative rock, but they also integrate parts of electronica, indie rock,[citation needed] rock opera,[86] hard rock, and metal[86] the band have cited artists such as[87] Queen,[88] John Lennon, Pink Floyd,[89] Nirvana,[90] Primus,[91] Jeff Buckley,[92] The Smashing Pumpkins,[93] Deftones,[94] Rage Against the Machine,[95] Jimi Hendrix,[96] Rush,[97] Sonic Youth,[citation needed] Depeche Mode,[98] David Bowie,[99] The Cure,[citation needed] Joy Division,[citation needed] Daisy Chainsaw[citation needed], Mega City Four & The Smiths[citation needed] as musical influences.
Many Muse songs are recognisable by lead vocalist Matthew Bellamy's use of falsetto and vibrato influenced primarily by Jeff Buckley. As a guitarist, Bellamy often utilises arpeggiator and Pitch-shift effects to create a more "electric" sound, citing Jimi Hendrix and Tom Morello as influences for this method.[20]
Muse's album Black Holes and Revelations was influenced by various styles of European and Asian music. "I've been listening to quite a lot of music from the south of Italy on this album", Bellamy admits. "I've been living in Italy for a while, and I discovered this music from Naples, which sounds like a mix of music from Africa, Croatia, Turkey, and Italy. It kind of gives it a mystical sound, so I think that's one thing that influenced the album. I like being influenced by things that have a mixed style".[100]
Muse have cited Queen as an influence.[101] Queen guitarist Brian May has praised Muse's work, calling the band "extraordinary musicians" who "let their madness show through, always a good thing in an artist."[101] In particular, Dominic Howard noted the influence of Queen on "United States of Eurasia".[101]
On the band's association with progressive rock, Dominic Howard has said: "I associate it with 10-minute guitar solos, but I guess we kind of come into the category. A lot of bands are quite ambitious with their music, mixing lots of different styles — and when I see that I think it's great. I've noticed that kind of thing becoming a bit more mainstream."

Free piano sheets for Miley Cyrus
Cyrus was born on November 23, 1992 in Nashville, Tennessee to Leticia "Tish" (née Finley) and country singer Billy Ray Cyrus.[4] Her parents named her Destiny Hope because they believed that she would accomplish great things with her life. They gave her the nickname "Smiley", which was later shortened to "Miley", because she smiled so often as a baby.[5] Cyrus suffers from a mild heart condition causing tachycardia which, though not dangerous, is often bothersome.[6]
Against the wishes of her father's record company, Cyrus's parents secretly married a month after Cyrus's birth on December 28, 1992.[7] Tish had two children from a previous relationship: Trace and Brandi. Billy Ray adopted Trace and Brandi when they were young.[8] She has a half-brother, Christopher Cody, Billy Ray's son from a brief relationship, born the same year as Miley; he grew up with his mother in South Carolina.[7] Tish and Billy Ray had two more children, Braison and Noah. Cyrus's godmother is entertainer Dolly Parton.[9] Cyrus was very close to her paternal grandfather, Democratic politician Ronald Ray Cyrus.[10] Cyrus has paid her grandfather several tributes since his death in 2006, including eventually changing her middle name to "Ray".[11] According to Cyrus's father, "A lot of people say Miley changed her name to Miley Ray because of Billy Ray, but that's not true. She did that in honor of my dad, because the two of them just loved each other to pieces."[6]
Cyrus grew up on a 500-acre (2.0 km2) farm in Franklin, Tennessee, approximately an hour away from Nashville,[12] and attended Heritage Elementary School.[13] She was raised Christian and was baptized in a Southern Baptist church prior to moving to Hollywood in 2005. She attended church regularly while growing up and wore a purity ring.[14] Cyrus would not seriously consider acting until she was eight. Several of Cyrus's siblings also eventually entered the entertainment business: Trace became a vocalist and guitarist for the electronic pop band Metro Station,[15] Noah became an actress, and Brandi became a guitarist.[16]
Miley Ray Cyrus (born Destiny Hope Cyrus; November 23, 1992) is an American actress and pop singer. She achieved wide fame for her role as Miley Stewart/Hannah Montana on the Disney Channel sitcom Hannah Montana. Cyrus recorded music for the soundtracks, Hannah Montana (2006) and Hannah Montana 2/Meet Miley Cyrus (2007), released by Walt Disney Records. With the success of the Hannah Montana franchise she established herself as a teen idol. In 2007, Cyrus signed to Hollywood Records to pursue a solo career. She went on the Best of Both Worlds Tour the same year, in which she performed as both herself and in character as Hannah Montana. The tour was eventually turned into a high-grossing concert film entitled Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert (2008). In July 2008, Cyrus released her first solo album, Breakout (2008), which was commercially successful.
She began her foray into film by providing the voice of "Penny" in the animated film Bolt (2008). Cyrus earned a nomination for the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song for her performance of Bolt's theme song, "I Thought I Lost You". She also reprised her role as Miley Stewart/Hannah Montana in Hannah Montana: The Movie (2009). The Hannah Montana: The Movie' soundtrack introduced her to new audiences within country and adult contemporary markets.
She began to cultivate an adult image in 2009 with the release of The Time of Our Lives (2009), an extended play which presented a more mainstream pop sound, and by filming The Last Song (2010), a coming-of-age drama film. The former included Cyrus's best-selling single, "Party in the U.S.A." (2009). A studio album titled Can't Be Tamed was released in 2010 and presents a new dance-pop sound. The music video and lyrics of the album's lead single, "Can't Be Tamed", portrays a more sexualized image for the entertainer. Cyrus ranked number thirteen on Forbes' 2010 Celebrity 100

Dubbed by Oprah Winfrey as the Most Talented Girl in the World,[1] she is the first solo Asian artist in history to land in the Top 10 of the Billboard 200 album chart.[2]
Crossing over to television acting, she has appeared on the TV series Glee where she plays a guest star named Sunshine Corazon.[3] Charice is currently working on her sophomore studio album, on which she will collaborate with Sean Garrett.[4]
Pempengco was born in Laguna, Philippines.[5] Raised by a single mother, she helped support the family by joining amateur singing contests at age seven, from town fiestas in various provinces to singing competitions on TV.[6] She is said to have joined almost a hundred singing contests.[7]
In 2005, Pempengco joined Little Big Star, a talent show in the Philippines loosely patterned after Pop Idol. Eliminated after her first performance, she was later called back as a wildcard contender and eventually became a finalist.[8]
Pempengco made minor appearances on local television shows and commercials, but essentially had fallen off the radar after her stint at Little Big Star. It was not until 2007 that she gained worldwide recognition after an avid supporter started posting a series of her performance videos on YouTube under the username FalseVoice. Free piano sheets for Green Day
Green Day is an American punk rock band formed in 1987. The band consists of lead vocalist and guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong, bassist and backing vocalist Mike Dirnt, and drummer Tré Cool. Cool replaced former drummer John Kiffmeyer in 1991, prior to the recording of the band's second album, Kerplunk, and has been a member of the band ever since.
Green Day was originally part of the punk scene at 924 Gilman Street in Berkeley, California. The band's early releases for independent record label Lookout! Records earned it a grassroots fanbase.[1] In 1994, its major label debut Dookie became a breakout success and eventually sold over 10 million copies in the U.S.[2] As a result, Green Day was widely credited, alongside fellow California punk bands The Offspring and Rancid, with popularizing and reviving mainstream interest in punk rock in the United States.[3][4] Green Day's three follow-up albums, Insomniac, Nimrod, and Warning did not achieve the massive success of Dookie, but they were still successful, reaching double platinum, double platinum, and gold status respectively.[5] Their 2004 rock opera American Idiot reignited the band's popularity with a younger generation, selling five million copies in the U.S.[5] The band's eighth studio album, 21st Century Breakdown, was released in 2009.
Green Day has sold over 65 million records worldwide and 24.639 million in the US alone.[6] They have won four Grammy Awards: Best Alternative Album for Dookie, Best Rock Album for American Idiot, Record of the Year for "Boulevard of Broken Dreams", and Best Rock Album for the second time for 21st Century Breakdown. In 2010, a stage adaptation of American Idiot debuted on Broadway. Ondrasik went to college at UCLA and graduated with a degree in applied science and mathematics continuing to pursue music in his spare time. He adopted the name "Five for Fighting," which is an expression in ice hockey when a player receives a five-minute penalty for fighting.
Ondrasik's first album, Message for Albert, was released by EMI in 1997. Capitol Records re-released this album after the success of America Town.
In 2000, Five For Fighting signed with Columbia Records and released America Town on September 26, 2000. The album made little impact, but "Superman (It's Not Easy)" became an anthem after the September 11 attacks. Ondrasik would perform the song at The Concert for New York City in late 2001. Five for Fighting contributed a live performance version of his song "Superman" to the charity album Live in the X Lounge IV. While America Town failed to make the top 50 of the Billboard 200 album charts, its consistent sales eventually led to its going platinum.
His third album, The Battle for Everything, debuted at number 20 on the Billboard 200 in February 2004. Two years later the album Two Lights was released; this became his first career Top 10 album, debuting at number 8 on the Billboard 200 in August 2006. Its first single, "The Riddle", became Ondrasik's third career Top 40 hit on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at number 40. A video of the second single, "World", has been used to raise funds for various charities (see Philanthropy below).
In 2005, he recorded the song "Penguin Lament" for Sandra Boynton's Dog Train book and CD. In 2007, he again collaborated with Boynton, performing "Big Band Sound" on the Blue Moo album.
On the weekend of January 27 and 28, 2007, Ondrasik filled in for radio host Casey Kasem on the American Top 20 and American Top 10 radio programs. On AT20, he counted down his own hit "World," and on AT10 he counted down his own hit "The Riddle."
John Ondrasik writes and co-writes music for other artists' CDs. Those artists include The Backstreet Boys and Josh Groban. He also writes and co-writes for movie soundtracks, such as August Rush, We Were Soldiers, Chicken Little, Everyone's Hero, Jimmy Neutron.
In 2008, Ondrasik wrote and recorded the song "Brothers in Arms" for the award winning documentary film Brothers at War. "Brothers at War is an honest glimpse into the reality of our troops and their families. I wrote the song two hours after seeing the film," Ondrasik said. "The final production you hear is the demo I recorded that night in my living room, accompanied by a string section Lee Holdridge composed and directed a year later." Ondrasik collaborated with the film's production team of Jake Rademacher (Director/Producer), Norman Powell (Producer), Gary Sinise (Executive Producer) and David Scantling (Executive Producer) on the project.[2]
On July 21, 2009, the first single from the album, called "Chances," was released for download.
On September 22, 2009, the music video for "Chances" was released on VH1.com. The music video shows the story of two teenagers falling in love, while Ondrasik narrates (sings) to the story. The video was directed by Steven Drypolcher (Beyonce, Kanye West, Boyslikegirls) and produced by Partizan. The "Making of the Chances Music Video" is available on Amazon.com.
His fifth studio album, titled Slice, was released on October 13, 2009, and premiered on the iTunes Top 10 Albums on the first day. The album was produced by Gregg Wattenberg ("Superman," "100 Years"). Academy Award-winning composer Stephen Schwartz, who penned the songs for musicals such as Wicked, Godspell and Pippin, co-wrote the title track, as well as the track "Above The Timberline."
In October 2009, Ondrasik's third studio album, The Battle For Everything, was RIAA certified Platinum.
In November 2009, "Chances" was featured in the end credits of the hit movie The Blind Side.
On May 27, 2010, John Ondrasik announced that he had left Columbia records and his album Slice would be re-released on Wind-Up Records along with the song "Slice" being released as a single in July 2010.[3]

Free piano sheets for Edwin McCain
Edwin McCain (born January 20, 1970 in Greenville, South Carolina) is an American alternative rock singer-songwriter and musician.[1] He was adopted as an infant and had two sons with his wife and also had an adopted child.
While his albums are released under his name, he does have a permanent band, referred to as the Edwin McCain Band. Members of the band include Larry Chaney (guitar), Pete Riley (guitar and vocals), Craig Shields (keyboards, saxophone and other wind instruments), Jason Pomar (bass guitar and vocals) and Tez Sherrard (drums and percussion).
Long time touring friends with Hootie and the Blowfish, the Edwin McCain band signed with same label, Atlantic Records. In 1994, he recorded his first major-label album, Honor Among Thieves under the Lava Records imprint (Matchbox Twenty, Kid Rock and Jewel). The record was then released in 1995. His second album, Misguided Roses, spawned "I'll Be", a major hit single in 1998. This song is also featured on the charitable album, Live in the X Lounge, along with a live version of "Solitude". It was also featured and included in the soundtrack of the 2004 teen flick, A Cinderella Story. Two more albums (Messenger and Far from Over) followed, but at the end of 2001, he split from Lava. In 2003 he released a collection of acoustic versions of songs both old and new called The Austin Sessions via ATC Records, a Nashville-based independent record label (at which McCain was the first artist signed following its creation in 2001). Mid-2004 saw the arrival of his first studio album in three years, entitled Scream & Whisper, which was released on another indie label, DRT Entertainment.
He has released two DVDs to date. The first was through ATC records in late 2002, called Mile Marker: Songs and Stories from the Acoustic Highway, and it consisted of interviews, live performances, and other material. The other was in late 2004, Tinsel & Tap Shoes. It was his first live concert DVD, recorded at The House of Blues in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
Co-written & performed with singer/songwriter Maia Sharp, McCain released a single, "Hold Out a Hand." This song, available for a 99 cent download on iTunes, gives all profits to the relief of the hurricane victims of 2005.
Edwin McCain Band's newest original material CD, titled, Lost in America, was released on April 11, 2006, on Vanguard Records. This was album #9 and is said to be a true "rock 'n roll" collection. There were three single releases from this CD: "Gramercy Park Hotel", "Truly Believe", and "The Kiss."
Edwin's next release, a collection of R&B cover songs entitled "Nobody's Fault But Mine" was released June 24, 2008 under a one off deal with Saguaro Road Records. Edwin will start work on the proper Vanguard Records follow up to "Lost In America" in the fall following the promotional tour for the covers album.
On 17 May 2009, Edwin performed on board USS John C. Stennis, while the carrier was on a Western Pacific deployment in the vicinity of Guam.

Free piano sheets for Dido
Dido Florian Cloud de Bounevialle O'Malley Armstrong[1] (born 25 December 1971), known mononymously as Dido (pronounced /ˈdaɪdoʊ/), is an English singer-songwriter.
Following the sampling of her single "Thank You" on Eminem's 2000 hit, "Stan", Dido shot to worldwide success with her debut album, No Angel (1999). The album sold in excess of 21 million copies worldwide,[2] and won several awards; including the MTV Europe Music Award for Best New Act, two NRJ Awards for Best New Act and Best Album, and two BRIT Awards for Best British Female and Best Album. Her following album, Life for Rent (2003), continued her mainstream success with the help of popular singles "White Flag" and "Life for Rent". The album went on to sell around 12 million copies worldwide and saw her receive more accolades; including the Ivor Novello Award for Songwriter of the Year for "White Flag", two further BRIT and NRJ Awards, as well as a Grammy Award nomination. Her third and latest studio album, Safe Trip Home (2008), received critical praise to help maintain her success. Dido has been ranked #98 of Billboard 200 Artists Music Chart based on the success of her music in the first decade of the 21st century.[3] She has sold over 6 million albums in United States, and 25 million albums worldwide,[citation needed] establishing herself as one of the best-selling artists of her time.
Dido was born as Florian Cloud de Bounevialle Armstrong[4][5] at St. Mary Abbots hospital in Kensington, London, on Christmas Day 1971.[6] Because she was born on Christmas Day, she also celebrates an "official birthday" on 25 June, following the example of Paddington Bear.[7] Her mother, Clare (née Collins), is a French poet,[5] and her father, William O'Malley Armstrong, was an Irish publisher and former managing director of Sidgwick & Jackson.[8][9] Her older brother, Rowland Constantine O'Malley Armstrong,[10] is better known as record producer Rollo, part of the British electronica trio Faithless. Despite their impressive birth names, the pair were known from childhood by the names that are famous now — Dido and Rollo.[5] Dido has made it clear that "Dido" is now her real name and not simply a stage name or nickname.[1][7][11]
Dido was named after the mythical Queen of Carthage. As a child, she had to deal with the ambiguous and unusual nature of her name, which led to her being bullied[1] and even to her pretending to have an ordinary name.[5] As she explains:
To be called one thing and christened another is actually very confusing and annoying. It's one of the most irritating things that my parents did to me.... Florian is a German man's name. That's just mean. To give your child a whole lot of odd names. They were all so embarrassing. ...I thought it was cruel to call me Dido and then expect me to just deal with it.
Dido was educated at Thornhill Primary School in Islington, Dallington School, City of London Girls' and Westminster School. After she stole a recorder from school at age five,[12] her parents enrolled her at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. By the time she reached her teens she had learned to play the piano, recorder and the violin. She later studied law at Birkbeck, University of London, while working as a literary agent. She never completed the degree, deciding instead to take up music full-time. After learning the guitar, she showcased her skills to audiences during her 2004 Life for Rent tour.

Free piano sheets for David Cook
David Roland Cook (born December 20, 1982) is an American rock singer-songwriter,[1] who rose to fame after winning the seventh season of the reality television show American Idol. Prior to Idol he released an album entitled Analog Heart, and his post-Idol self-titled album, produced by Rob Cavallo, was released on November 18, 2008 and has since been certified Platinum by the RIAA.
Cook was born in Houston, Texas, raised in Blue Springs, Missouri, and currently owns homes in Kansas City, Missouri and Los Angeles, California.[2][3] His parents are Beth Foraker (née Frye) and Stanley Cook.[4] He is the middle of three brothers—[5][6] the late Adam being older and Andrew younger. He is of German, Irish, and English descent.[7]
Cook's interest in music began at a young age. He began singing in second grade, when his elementary school music teacher gave him a part in a school Christmas performance. He proceeded to perform in virtually every Christmas and PTA program.[8] He received his first guitar, a Fender Stratocaster, at the age of 12.[9] He also participated in choir and drama programs in middle school and high school. At Blue Springs South High School, he performed in musicals, including The Music Man, West Side Story, and Singin' in the Rain.[8][10][11] In addition to this, he was an active member in the Blue Springs South High School National Forensics League (or NFL), where he qualified for the national tournament twice for duo interpretation, an event that relies on performance and interpretation of a literary work.
He was also an avid baseball player during high school and once gave up a home run to Albert Pujols in an American Legion Baseball game.[12] After an injury, he focused more on music. He earned a theater scholarship to the University of Central Missouri, but he abandoned theater after two semesters, graduating from the school in 2006 with a degree in graphic design.[13][14] While in college, he was a member of Phi Sigma Kappa.[15] After his college graduation, he relocated to Tulsa, Oklahoma, to pursue a career in music, telling his family, "I just want to give myself until I'm 26 years old to get a job."[4]

Free piano sheets for Daniel Bedingfield
Daniel John Bedingfield (born 3 December 1979) is a New Zealand-born British singer-songwriter. He is the brother of pop singers Natasha Bedingfield and Nikola Rachelle.
His song "Gotta Get Thru This" gathered momentum on white label, through the underground UK garage scene, and went on to become a #1 hit in the UK Top 40 in December 2001. He has since had two more no.1 singles ("If You're Not The One" and "Never Gonna Leave Your Side"), as well as three further top 10 hits. His debut album, also titled Gotta Get Thru This, which was recorded at home using Making Waves Audio software, reached #2 in the UK albums chart and went on to sell more than 4 million copies worldwide[citation needed].
In 2003 he appeared on the Delirious? album World Service, singing guest backing vocals on "Every Little Thing". On 23 March 2003, he appeared in an episode of Popworld and he also guest-starred (as himself) on the series Sabrina, the Teenage Witch in the episode "The Lyin', the Witch, and the Wardrobe".
In 2004, Bedingfield won a BRIT Award for Best British Male Artist. He then moved to the Universal Music subsidiary label Polydor Records to release his second album, Second First Impression, which reached #8 in the UK. The album sold poorly compared to his first offering, though did include two UK Top 20 singles ("Nothing Hurts Like Love" reached #3, and "Wrap My Words Around You" peaked at #12). The third and final single, "The Way", became his first to miss the top 40, reaching #41. The album was not released in the U.S.
In an interview with the New Zealand Herald in April 2007, Bedingfield said that, after a three-year hiatus, he now has three albums recorded and awaiting release.[2] Bedingfield also signed with Magus Entertainment and in September 2009 he confirmed on Twitter that his third album "will be a worldwide release" but when asked about the exact release date, Bedingfield replied "The release is subject to record company negotiations".
New songs that have been performed live include "Way With Words", "Beautiful", "First Base", "I'll Be Home", "Don't Write Me Off", "Remember", "Dynamite", "Everything's Gonna Be Alright", and "Closure".
Since his last release in 2004, Bedingfield has continued to work with other artists. He co-wrote the song "Works for Me!" for American Idol finalist David Archuleta. He has also worked with Pixie Lott, and contributed guest vocals on a track by a former member of The Roots. In December 2009, he was co-writing material with Tessanne Chin as well as recorded three songs with Busy Signal at DJ Karim's Stainless Records studios in Kingston, Jamaica. The songs are said to be for Busy Signal's upcoming VP Records project as well as Bedingfield's own upcoming project.
He has been a frequent Twitterer and has posted clips on his youtube channel of him and his band rehearsing for an upcoming Tel Aviv gig. He is hiring interns and has completed a photoshoot and a music video for the upcoming release. His Tel Aviv gig will be on January 15th, in Rotchild 12 in Tel Aviv.
Bedingfield was diagnosed with Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), which he said has been reflected in his songwriting.
On New Year's Day 2004, while on vacation visiting his parents in New Zealand, Bedingfield nearly lost his life in a severe car accident. As a result, he was left with serious head and neck injuries. These injuries required him to wear a head brace and took six months to heal.
His parents are leadership trainers and mentors in the voluntary sector and business world. His mother, Molly Bedingfield, is founder and CEO of Global Angels, of which Daniel is one of the International Executive Directors.[3] Bedingfield also helped to launch the Stop the Traffik coalition against modern day slavery.
Bedingfield is a Christian, but has said, "I find that when people hear that I'm a Christian they expect me to be extremely religious. I'm not great friends with religion [although] I'm passionate about anything to do with God.[4]

Following on with the initial success of this collaboration, Bacharach went on to produce hits with Dusty Springfield, Bobbie Gentry and others.
As of 2006[update], Bacharach had written 70 Top 40 hits in the US, and 52 Top 40 hits in the UK.

Free piano sheets for Augustana
Augustana is an American rock band from San Diego, California who are signed to the Epic Records record label[1] and are best known for their singles, "Boston" and "Sweet and Low."
In Autumn 2002 at Greenville College in Illinois, Dan Layus joined friends together to create music. They began by re-recording "More than a Love Song" which Dan had written for his high school girlfriend, back then in California. They wanted to call themselves The Looking Glass but changed their mind after finding another band of the same name. They quickly chose the "Augustana" which Josiah suggested. It was also the name of Augustana College which frequently traveled to Greenville to compete in sporting events. The original members included Dan Layus, Josiah Rosen, Kyle Baker and Simeon Lohrman. They recorded a full length record, Midwest Skies and Sleepless Mondays in the home recording studio of Jon King. The debut album was released in Spring 2003 and only 1000 copies were produced. Later that year the band recorded Mayfield EP and only 25 copies were made.[2]
Dan Layus decided to move back to Southern California with band mate Josiah Rosen, where they eventually found their drummer, Justin South. The band joined numerous tours with artists such as Switchfoot, Maroon 5, The Fray, Counting Crows, Dashboard Confessional, O.A.R., Snow Patrol, The Damnwells, Goo Goo Dolls, Acceptance, and Cartel, OneRepublic as well as having their own headlining tours. They also are currently part of the Traveling Circus and Medicine Show tour, playing together with Counting Crows and also featuring Michael Franti and Spearhead, as well as Notar.

Free piano sheets for Aimee Mann
Aimee Mann grew up in Bon Air, Virginia, graduated from Midlothian High School in 1978[citation needed] and attended the Berklee College of Music in Boston, but dropped out to sing with her first punk rock band, the Young Snakes.[citation needed] The band released the EP Bark Along with the Young Snakes in 1982, and a compilation album was issued in 2004.
In 1983, she co-founded with Berklee classmate and boyfriend Michael Hausman the new wave band 'Til Tuesday, which achieved success in 1985 with its first album, Voices Carry. The title song is said to be inspired by Hausman and Mann's breakup.[2] The record producer, Mike Thorne, in a March 1999 article disputed this and stated the lyrics originally had Mann singing to another woman. The gender was changed due to pressure from the record label.[3] The video became an MTV staple, winning the MTV Video Music Award for Best New Artist, although Mann's then-signature spiky hair would lead some[who?] to dismiss the group. Mann was featured on the Rush song "Time Stand Still" (from Hold Your Fire, 1987) which became a minor UK hit, singing backup vocals and appearing in the music video.[2] Her laughter is also heard at the start of "Force Ten," from the same album. With Mann playing an increasingly important role in songwriting, 'Til Tuesday released two more albums, Welcome Home and Everything's Different Now. On their final tour, musician Jon Brion joined the band, which broke up in 1990 when Mann left to start her solo career.[2]
Around the time of the first album's release, Mann began a romantic relationship with Jules Shear;[citation needed] they broke up before the final 'Til Tuesday album, which contained the song "J For Jules." Professional relationships from the band would continue: Hausman later became Mann's manager, and Brion produced her first two solo albums, along with the Magnolia soundtrack.
Early solo career
In 1993, Mann released Whatever, her first solo album. Promotion suffered due to the collapse of her label, Imago. The album sold modestly and met with critical praise, paving the way for her next release, 1995's I'm with Stupid, through Geffen Records.[4] Again, reviews were positive, but sales were weak.
Mann recorded Bachelor No. 2, but Geffen saw no hit singles in the material and ordered her back to the studio. The album languished while Mann and the label fought.[2]
Meanwhile, Mann became friends with film director Paul Thomas Anderson. This developed as her husband, Michael Penn, and Brion composed the soundtrack for Anderson's movie Hard Eight. Mann gained greater public recognition in 1999 — indeed, more than for anything else since "Voices Carry" — when she contributed eight songs to the soundtrack of Anderson's Magnolia, including the Academy Award and Grammy-nominated song, "Save Me". Anderson deliberately worked from Mann's lyrics to create the film's characters and situations. Mann soon became sought after as a soundtrack contributor.[who?] Her song "Amateur" appeared prominently in the 1998 movie Sliding Doors.

Free piano sheets for Adam Sandler
Adam Richard Sandler (born September 9, 1966) is an American actor, comedian, singer, screenwriter, musician, and film producer. After becoming a Saturday Night Live cast member, Sandler went on to star in several Hollywood feature films that grossed over $100 million at the box office.[1] He is best known for his comedic roles, such as in the films Billy Madison (1995), Happy Gilmore (1996), Big Daddy (1999), and Mr. Deeds (2002), though he has ventured into more dramatic territory. In 1999, Sandler founded Happy Madison, a film and television production company that has produced numerous films and developed the 2007 television series Rules of Engagement.
Adam Sandler was born in Brooklyn, New York to a Jewish family,[2] the son of Judy, a nursery school teacher, and Stanley Sandler, an electrical engineer.[3] When he was five, his family moved to Manchester, New Hampshire, where he attended Manchester Central High School. He found he was a natural comic, and nurtured his talent while at New York University by performing regularly in clubs and on campuses.[citation needed] Sandler graduated from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts in 1988.[4]
Later in his career, he would draw on his earliest experiences for material for his comedy and movies. The song "Lunchlady Land" from his debut album They're All Gonna Laugh at You! is dedicated to Emalee, the lunchlady at Hayden Dining Hall at New York University.

Free piano sheets for Aerosmith
Aerosmith is an American hard rock band, sometimes referred to as "The Bad Boys from Boston"[1] and "America's Greatest Rock and Roll Band".[2][3][4][5] Their style, which is rooted in blues-based hard rock,[6][7] has come to also incorporate elements of pop,[8] heavy metal,[6] and rhythm and blues,[9] and has inspired many subsequent rock artists.[10] The band was formed in Boston, Massachusetts in 1970. Guitarist Joe Perry and bassist Tom Hamilton, originally in a band together called the Jam Band, met up with singer Steven Tyler, drummer Joey Kramer, and guitarist Ray Tabano, and formed Aerosmith. In 1971, Tabano was replaced by Brad Whitford, and the band began developing a following in Boston.
They were signed to Columbia Records in 1972, and released a string of multi-platinum albums, beginning with their 1973 eponymous debut album, followed by their 1974 album Get Your Wings. In 1975, the band broke into the mainstream with the album Toys in the Attic, and their 1976 follow-up Rocks cemented their status as hard rock superstars.[11] By the end of the 1970s, they were among the most popular hard rock bands in the world and developed a loyal following of fans, often referred to as the "Blue Army".[12] However, drug addiction and internal conflict took their toll on the band, which resulted in the departures of Perry and Whitford, in 1979 and 1981 respectively. They were replaced by Jimmy Crespo and Rick Dufay.[7] The band did not fare well between 1980 and 1984, releasing a lone album, Rock in a Hard Place, which went gold but failed to match their previous successes.
Although Perry and Whitford returned in 1984 and the band signed a new deal with Geffen Records, it was not until the band sobered up and released 1987's Permanent Vacation that they regained the level of popularity they had experienced in the 1970s.[13] Throughout the late 1980s and 1990s, the band scored several hits and won numerous awards for music from the multi-platinum albums Pump (1989), Get a Grip (1993), and Nine Lives (1997). Their comeback has been described as one of the most remarkable and spectacular in rock 'n' roll history.[6][7] After 40 years of performing, the band continues to tour and record music.

Aerosmith is the best-selling American rock band of all time, having sold more than 150 million albums worldwide,[14] including 66.5 million albums in the United States alone.[15] They also hold the record for the most gold and multi-platinum albums by an American group. The band has scored 21 Top 40 hits on the Billboard Hot 100, nine #1 Mainstream Rock hits, four Grammy Awards, and ten MTV Video Music Awards. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001, and in 2005 they were ranked #57 in Rolling Stone magazine's 100 Greatest Artists of All Time.[16]
